Notes
A small track I put together with the idea that it could be a video game background for something my son is working on. 808-style kick produced via the BIA (Basimilus Iteratas Alia), a drum synth that I got last week. I'm still getting used to it but it seems amazing. This track uses the recommended standard approach for a techno kick drum, which modulates the pitch CV with a fast-delay envelope (sourced from the Moduleur's ADSR module). The snare is also via the Moduleur, using the noise through the other VCA module and the filter. I used the Eloquencer to make some semi-random beats with some CV accents, and used Ableton's MIDI arpeggiation to drive a Juno synth bass with a stack of saws and squares. I added the Prophet pad at the end and did some fancy footwork to get it all to fit together in the mix.
